The Ghisallo is on the Asheville CL… for $300! I started a thread about the brand a couple of months ago when an orange one popped up in Charleston. Someone on the forum bought it and it was stolen from his porch!

The Nishiki is in storage. No pics, but I'll try to post one sometime soon.

I was going to post about this. I saw this ad tonight and did a search for Ghisallo. Here is a link to the ad. Identical except green to the one that was stolen. It is also a bit smaller.

Hi Guys, I'm a noob, long time lurker and the owner of the green Ghisallo. I had never heard of Ghisallo until I came across this bike. This forum is one of the few places that I was able to find any info. Thanks to you guys for sharing your knowledge!

We all learn from each other on this forum. Thank you, everyone who contributed to this thread -- this marque is completely new to me.

Thanks for that insight! I totally forgot that there was a torn & gooey shop sticker on it before I cleaned it up. The shop was Tumbleweed Cyclery in Carrboro, NC.

Thanks 3speed! I give Thrifty Bill full credit for pushing me over the edge to start posting. I met him a couple of weeks ago when he came to see a crankset that I had on CL. I can't wait to go over and see the goodies in his shop!

Neat bike Imparare, we'd all love to see more of it. A hearty welcome to the forum!

In the meantime, the real Ghisallo (Chapel of) above Lake Como in northern Italy:

it is possible that if it was a small batch or one-time importation it may have been done direct by a retailer. this happens from time to time.

A Carolina connection would be really cool.

Seems I recall Torpados were imported into the Carolinas at one time. Can anyone confirm that?
