I imagine that a lot of people are like me in that I can only find time to be active on one or maybe two discussion sites at a time, so I'll just wander away for a month or more. Life happens, and sometimes it happens on a bike.

A lot of repeat threads, as has been said. And not as many bikes of interest to me than there were before, it seems.
But that's OK. So it goes.
Understandable, of course, but I'd like to say: that will be a big loss to this forum.

Ahh yes, Colonel Angus.

It's always nice to see his shiny face poke out from Shady Thicket...

I haven't seen him since he went down South.

Dang. My ears were burning and I logged in to see this thread in my notifications. Nice to read the kind words. I'm no longer working 100 hours a week (well, not year round anyhow). No longer an active partner in my restaurant, but proud of what I helped build. Kid number two is on the way. The last two years have been something else; been punched a few times (literally and figuratively), but I'm here. I have some actual time now to ride and wrench so looking forward to that and I'll be posting from time to time. All the best to you!

Justin, I'm glad you're able to breathe now, and congratulations on your second child on the way.

Welcome back! The C&V lunch thread hasn't been the same without the regular contributions from Kentucky...

Also @snarkypup? Anyone remember her and that epic tour of Western Ireland? So enthusiastic and then suddenly was gone to Australia never to be heard from again.

+1 to bigbossman.
Bigbossman is alive and well. He developed a shoulder/neck/nerve issue that was made noticeably worse (as in being unable to sleep) when he rode and went away when he didn't. His options were some sort of neck surgery or give up all but the most occasional and low-key coffee shop rides. He chose the latter, the wuss. I even offered to do the surgery with my trusty, always-have-it-with-me Swiss Army knife - I don't know why he turned me down.

He was always a good target shooter and hunter, so he is doing more of that these days. He periodically works at reducing the turkey population in the area and also hunts wild pigs in California's central Coast Range from time to time. On a related note, makes a killer pulled pork

You can take me off the list, I'm still among the breathing. Just fighting a neck/nerve issue of my own over the past few years(Auto accident)

It's good to see some of the old names pop up.

Any idea what ever happened to Chipcom?
