How About This...
...VERY happy right now...my wife has ALMOST gotten bitten by the N+1 bug! Check our her new (to her) Tommasini Super Prestige! This bike is CHERRY!!! The paint, decals, etc. are cool and very intact...very, very little, if any issues!
Funny thing is...we talked about her selling her Fuji in order to "fund" part of this bike (although she got a smoking deal!)...we got it yesterday and discussed that...tonight, we are rearranging bikes and making room...so...I have her Fuji down and ready to take pictures to sell it...she goes..."ahem, ahh...well...you know what...let's don't sell it...I kind of want them both...but, you can sell my old POS mountain bike!" Hmmm...N+1 bug??? So...I know you want to see... http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...psinxyhunp.jpg http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...psa4grcjn9.jpg http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...pspwcxghxb.jpg http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...psou5tg8sp.jpg http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...pskszvlrqk.jpg http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...psuzavbfin.jpg http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...psnpqkreqn.jpg http://i1361.photobucket.com/albums/...ps8y4hyaqq.jpg One question on this bike...does the drive train look like C-Record? I am not sure... |
Gorgeous.
One of the better handling bikes I have owned...... |
I love those stems!
What pedals will she use? |
Very nice ride!
|
Congrats! Your story has given me a huge smile. Gonna show my SO the pics!
|
Beauty! :thumb:
|
Very clean. Better bikes than shoes.
|
She should marry you all over again.
|
Beautiful machine. Couldn't help but notice, are those Araya wheels? That would surprise me but they kind of look like it.
|
Most perfecto, Tommasini Super Prestige, Wifey indeed!
|
That bike is the Jimmy Choo of Italian road bikes. Congrats!

So much to love about that bike. Crazy hotness in both frame and components. Dead sexy! ;)
Looks like C-record crank and 2nd gen C-record RD, according to Velobase. I should know this off the top of my head since I have a C-record set on my Eddy, but don't have it in front of me to compare. I can see from the frame size your wife is no Amazon, but is she going to like that skinny saddle? |
Ooh, that's very pretty. Betcha' it rides great too.

As for the skinny saddle...no, we will be adjusting it...and the pedals...she also does not do clipless pedals...so...I will be looking for a set of Campy SR type platforms...and then work her into clips/straps (without tightening them down!) |
You sir, are one crafty bikeman. I see what you're doing there, and admire you for it. Well played (and a gorgeous bike).

When will you add a Campy Aero bottle?
|
I like the paint.

That bike is WAY too pretty to NOT have another bike to ride on days when the weather is not deserving of that bike. What an excellent find!
|
My wife has her aluminum Trek 7.2 (I think) and has no desire for anything shiny. She refers to her bike as "the Bat Bike."
I look at it as a win- she has a bike that she thinks is cool. That's what matters. |

She has actually sat out in the bike shop, while I am working on stuff, and stared at her new bike... |

You did GOOD.
Reminds me to tell the story about her...when we got our first motorcycle... So...several years ago...I got to thinking about getting a motorcycle for the two of us to do some riding, maybe some touring. But...I had no idea how Ms. Kim would react to the idea...so...one night on our way to dinner, I saw a nice one sitting in someone's yard with a For Sale sign on it. So...I brought us the same way home, so that we would pass it again. And...at dinner, I was very thoughtful about all my "arguments" that I would propose as to why we should get one...so...now...I am all prepared...right? Well... As we pass the bike, I casually mention that..."hey, wouldn't it be cool/nice to have a motorcycle and go do some riding together?" Know what she says? She says..."that would be cool, let's do it!" Now, here I sit, trying to drive...and thinking..."how do I not screw this up?" I had no argument for that response! She looks at me and says "are you serious? What's wrong, you are not saying anything!" Poor me...I stumbled, stuttered, stammered and finally told her that I had no clue how to respond to her!!! :-) Two weeks later we were off on our first adventure on our Yamaha V-Star 1100! After four rides together, she declared that she wanted her "own bike"...and so...a month or so later, we were off on our first ride...with two V-Star's! All I can say is this... Ms. Kim is COOL! And I am so fortunate that she tolerates me!! |
That's awesome!
