Olmo frame rear derailleur cable mounting problem
 

Hi guys, I've experienced problem with mounting a rear derailleur cable cant seem to fit in cable stop on chainstay.http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=486657. Cable slides out even without this ending tip. Has anyone experienced something like that?

You need a ferrule with a step down. Like this:

Usually the bare housing will fit. Or you can get the stepped housings.

I've been making my own lately - I can get a nice tight fit and the housing exits straight instead of a sloppy looking bend..

Bare housing fits, but it slides through, are those ferrules widely available?

Just go to the mechanic at your LBS and ask for a step down ferrule. At a well equipped shop it should be no problem.

You either have to guess your size, or just try some out. I bought a set on Ebay that was "close enough for government work"

Just look for "step down ferrule"

You need a step down cable end cap. It reduces in size to fit into the cable stop.
