Came across this while looking at a Nashbar catalog from '80(it's in the link. Prices and drawings are awesome. They sold so much great stuff back then!)
I'm guessing it's been linked before, but thought it'd be worth seeing still.

It really is a huge variety of catalogs from various bike and component brands.
Spans from the 30s into the 90s.

Raleigh, Tomasso, Serotta, Reynolds, Olmo, Dawes, Colnago, Bianchi, and a ton more.

1939 Schwinn catalog showing the Paramount with wood rims. Very cool.

That's an excellent site. There used to be a sticky with all of the various catalog sites listed. That probably needs updating.

Yeah, I figured it had been mentioned a time or two(understatement) on here before. I got lost in some of the catalogs- that Bike Warehouse(Nashbar) catalog was really neat to look thru- they used to offer lugs and tubing! Full groupset components from SunTour, Campy, and Shimano. A ton of cranksets, etc etc.

Thanks! And I see nothing posted to that thread in over five years. I believe the expression is a lack of visibility killed the cat.

Nothing like hands-on. You really need to learn by taking things apart and putting them back together.

Thank you for that.

I have been trying to remember the name "Cyclo-Pedia" for about 10 years and thanks to you I now have it. I love that catalog. It may be my favorite catalog of all time, although the ones I used to have predate the 1974 edition by several years.

I love the line drawings. They border on art and are probably the source for using the term "artwork" when referring to graphics in publications. They are a technique that predates low cost photographic reproductions.

I ordered a lot from Bike Warehouse in the late '70s and all through the '80s. Just built a wheel using a Minoura truing stand I bought in 1981. Traveled to Chicago for a corporate relocation with folding rollers in my suitcase on UAL, bought especially to use in my temp apartment until my family could join me. (Company paid the cost for flying my bike with me.)
