Specialized Carbon MTB expertise needed?
I have a line on a Stumpjumper Epic Carbon MTB frame. It has Chromoly lugs, I'm guessing it's from about 1989-90. I've been out of mountain biking for a while but thinking about picking this up. I know the Stumpies have a good reputation but unsure about the carbon from this era. Any thoughts? It comes with the original steel fork as well as a suspension fork. I wouldn't use it for any hard core stuff and the price is good so not worried particularly about the value.
Edit: Wow that is a lame thread title but I can't edit. It is not a question, I definitely need someone's expertise. |
I'd go for it if the price was right. There are plenty of lugged carbon Allez's from that era still on the road and doing just fine. Granted, a MTB probably lived a harder life, so YMMV. It probably comes with nice components, too.
