I have noticed recently that Sacha has a good sniff over my bike when I get back from a ride, like she's vicariously experiencing my ride by the scent(s) she detects. Anyone else (with a cat, that is) notice this?

Note that the Pivo Death Stem was not a haul from the BOC, but it was immediately drilled and tapped to receive the stem-mount Crane bell which has such a lovely sound. It will go on my TdF (with a hole drilled at the top of the slot in the stem so cracks won't form).

The Look cleats will go on one of the many pairs of shoes I have (they seem to multiply during the cold months) and will go nicely with my Look MP90 pedals that these were specifically designed for - rare as hens' teeth!

I've got an old Deore DX RD that needs some new pully wheels (the old ones are shark teeth).

I have a 7-speed Trail-a-bike that needs a new shifter - this one will have the brake removed so that only the STI part remains. Should be good enough for a little kid to use I think.

I love the sticker - it'll go somewhere appropriate.

The axle was pulled because of excessive pitting - a non-useable item (sorry).

PS - Crapmaster: Let the records show that I did two rounds of the BOC in Take 4/5. So this round plus the previous three rounds of Take 6 and two of Take 4/5 bring me up to MR6. :D

Years ago I walk into a bar in Dublin with a few friends. It's packed, no path to the bar to order a pint.

Bartender scans across at the door and hollers out, "how many are ya?
Irish friend yells back "We're four".
Bartender says "Four it'll be."
He pours 4 pints, and without any prompting, punts and pints change hands over 20 feet of people standing shoulder to shoulder in a bar.

Which has nothing to do with this useage, but it came to mind when typing it out.

You're a multiple recidivist in the Box o' Crap game, but your tally count is lost. How many times have you played the game? Several months ago, out of boredom, I decided to keep track. First timers are V, second on up is MR, and for the few crazy enough to have been a cat herder in this game, the honorary "CE" for Crapmaster Emeriti is bestowed.

It's like a Monty Python skit, and we're the actors.

Actually, I think I started the whole thing on BF. I called it BOCPAG, the box o' crap pass around game. I had email forms, spreadsheets, etc to keep track of it all.

You know, I originally had you down as CE, but went back up to the list of CE's in The Rules, and didn't see you. I added it back in. I have you down as "pre-history", if you have a better date, I'll update.

Well that went quickly! Glad it's off to a good home.

Box has landed! Running to a meeting today, will get pics and suchlike later today.

First pic is box as received. Wow, the ol' box is bulging and h e a v y. I'll do something about that.

No pic of what I put in, of course, but here's a little hint. It's French, it's somewhere between vintage and modern (came off an '86 Peugeot PX but wasn't original to the bike), and only committed roadies will want it.
