Folks, perhaps it's time to add a new rule. Life can get in the way of this silly BOC game, and can happen to any of us.
I propose that, if you're on deck, in the hole, or otherwise getting close to your turn, and you know you're going on vacation, have to drive the kids to college, or have temporary crap going on, you can post here or PM the CrapMaster (me), and I'll move you down the list a bit on the sly based on what you feel you're more comfortable meeting your BOC responsibilities. I won't make you get to the end of the line. The list is not writ in stone, I can copy and paste with the best of 'em.
Thoughts?

Sounds like a fine plan to me, @gugie. In addition, and maybe this is just too craptastic, I'd be willing to start a new BOC and send it to the person after me in the queue. Sure, it would mean two different boxes are circulating, but there's a lot of crap out there, a good chunk of it currently in my basement.

That and I needed to take a beak from applying torch to that Competition you sold me...hands need a rest from filing brass...
Hmmm, lemmee think about that...would I create two lists, A and B? Surely we could come up with better names than that...
Thoughts from the Crap Borg?

@gugie, yes, good plan. I'd go so far as to suggest, people on the list might be required to actively say something to the effect "I'm at bat next, now watch me swing!" before the box is sent. Me, I'm ready, but man, this would have been more fun if it could have arrived by Tuesday... my wife is away, dig?
@lnerner, I want to be at the top of that list, please!
I'm also thinking... what should I, or shouldn't I, put in the box?
Consider this list...
Pletscher front rack?
Soubitez dynamo and headlight combo?
Biopace chainring sets?
Thumb shifters?
Orphan brake calipers?
Orphan crank arms?
Those are some of the things I might include... I make no promises, but guidance is welcome. Maybe there's a way for people on the list to say yes, do this or no, don't bother with that, that's not end crap... huh?

No, same list as it currently stands. Just starting a new box from my position moving forward. It would mean that everyone after me in the list would need to contribute to two boxes eventually, so perhaps that's a deal killer.

Oh, I'd still get your crap. In my proposal, it would come in the current box once it's back in circulation. And maybe the second box I propose should go all around until it ends with you, John! (or is there no end to the circulation? hmm.)

Alright folks, I'm calling this.
@degan, let me know when things are stable enough for you to ship and I'll slot someone for you to ship to. That dang kitty toy that @YogaKat 's daughter dropped in the box must be seen. Probably by nlerner because...
@nlerner, if you're still willing and able, let me know, I'll slot you in front of @Spaghetti Legs and we can get this show back on the road. In addition, you get to keep your current slot for the effort-special 2 for 1 deal, if that works for you.
Note that Rule 15 is new and should be read by one and all. Read it! At this rate we'll soon have more rules than these guys.
The Box o' Crap is dead! Long live the Box o' Crap!
The CrapMaster has ruled!

Resurrected BOC is ready to go:
Yes, there are Bluemels shorty fenders in there. Sadly, this didn't even make a slight indentation in the volume of crap I have in my basement.
Just waiting on a mailing address from @spaghetti_Legs.

@nlerner -- Man, that box is a far cry from the first one I received a couple of years back. There were no bags... no order... just a bunch of beat-up steel, aluminum, and plastic crammed in a box. You pulled that first piece and the rest came out with it like the old Barrel o' Monkeys game.

If it fits in the box, it ships! No borked pieces.
Just read the rules, look for loopholes, and apply. Cat toys are always welcome

I think the 2nd box is fine, then do this: trap the original box. I.E. when degan's smoke clears, he mails it far down the list, identifying to whom it is sent. That person holds it until both boxes are captive, and that person weeds it out, puts the best stuff in the BBOC, sends the Best Box of Crap on, and then send the Rogue Box of Crap, full, empty, whatever, to wherever, anywhere, or nowhere, with no worry about what's in it or not. The Rogue roaming not to be published. If it lives, it lives. If it dies, so be it. The BBOC continues.
By the Way, I was in an REI this morning, and got to go into the shop and look through their Bin of Crap. I picked up two really nice bike stands and a R DT cable stop. $2 total. I felt guilty, so I bought two shifter cables, too.

2. The CrapMaster is considering suing REI for clear trademark infringement. Is there a lawyer in the house?

The Eagle Has Landed
New Box O' Crap is in circulation! Arrived on my doorstep this afternoon, a day early. There is a truly craptastic array of goodness in the box. I hope next person is able to take more out than I did; I struggled to get everything back in. Contents are under some pressure!
The Liege registration plate intrigued me. It's dated 1989 and might decorate my '85 Merckx Pro for parade days, or maybe my '89 Bianchi. Thanks to nierner for the Box rejuvenation! Should be outbound tomorrow.

I'm a bit confused. Assuming @degan regains his sea legs (I have no doubt he will) and gets his box out, are we going to have two boxes in circulation?
