Here is the box precariously strapped to my bike, on the way to the post office.

Box has landed!
Definitely need a new box . . . Off to the post office. Opening pictures soon, as soon as I find my cat to help.

And, with my 150th post, I would like to officially request being added to the list for the box o' crap. Feels like Christmas all of the sudden.

Please note that if the box gets to you prior to Christmas, you still have to open it, take pix, take some crap, refill and post to the next person in line ASAP.

Well the quality of the crap certainly has improved! Bravo to the dedicated contributors of quality crap and banishers of bork.
I cannot upload the "opening" picture for some unknown reason. But no big loss, my cat was uncooperative. This morning she brought a live rat-mouse into the house, let it go for some play time, lost it behind a bookcase, and LOST lNTEREST. By the time I flushed the rat-mouse into the open, my cat had wandered off to take a nap. So there is a rat-mouse on the loose in my house. And on top of it all, the dratted feline refused to come anywhere near the box. Perhaps she's concerned there might be a rodent there and she'd be required to exert herself.
My haul was nice. A set of RX100 calipers which will greatly improve the braking on my friend's commuter bike, a Mavic front hub that matches the Mavic hubs on my own commuter, a chainring that I'll throw at the rat-mouse if I see it, and a chain.
I contributed some crap of equal quality as the crap removed and repackaged all in a fresh box. This should go out tomorrow to Chris.
Oh, if anyone in the queue feels able to devise a replacement box liner, the current liner is on its last legs . . .

No, forget I typed that!
Also note that foreign shipments are disallowed, unless you're a Canuck and can slip back and forth across the border for surreptitious package pickup, or can time the BOC to arrive at your stateside abode when travelling from Asia.

Can't honestly say when the box arrived, but apparently it was some time last week. Discovered it Sunday, it is now shipped with fresh decals.
As received:
The opening:
My initial haul:
Secondary haul (upon discovering the previous box was not in fact flat rate and couldn't fit everything quite back in) anyone need some schwinn brakes?!?!?!?!
And now the crap is it's way to the crapmaster.

@RaleighSport is that my 9x12-27? I put it in filthy but in a bag, with a matching chain. Despite grime it only has a few hundred miles on it. Well less than a thousand anyhow. The chain is plenty long, it was going through a long cage RD and around a road triple on a cross bike.
9 speeds should be fun for gearing nerds because it seems like they should follow 8th roots, so the middle gear should be the square root of the overall ratio. sqrt(27/12) = 1.5 so the middle gear should be 18. But disappointingly, it isn't! The middle gear is the first step off the corncob section so it's a 17.
