I think my problem has been more with the selection at Flickr. It's been really stupid about letting me copy image, copy image location or displaying the jpg file name. Can't speak to the OP's issues though.

For flickr you need to open "view all sizes" on the photo you want (click on the down arrow on the right side of the screen). This will bring up a 1024x768 version of the photo. Right click on the photo for properties and copy and paste the url for the photo (not the whole page).
Then just use here.
It will work fine. I never use the uploader or icons on tis site.

No just from my camera or computer. Have no Flicker account. it wouldn't upload.
IMG_0310.jpg I have uploaded a few photos long ago, but in the past 3-4 months I have not had any success. Maybe I am not on here too much?

Ok, I just tried with these photos. It worked. Its something about my files. I took the photo of my old colnago with my I phone and dumped into I photo. I pulled it out from there onto the desk top and try to up load it. No go. it says an error has occured. all the upload buttons do not respond to clicking until I clicked on the photo of this deck. it worked immediately.

I gave up a long time ago.
Now I just upload photos from my computer
to a Photo Bucket account, then cut and past from there.

I spent a BUNCH of time trying to figure out how to post a photo within the thread and not as an attachment. Unchecking that box is the key!
