26" alloy mtb wheels on an old 3spd 26" wheeled frame?
Are old 3 speed bike frames spaced close enough to newish 26" mtb wheels to do this swap?

I've seen it done but brake reach can be a problem... usually you can run big fat tires though. Drum brakes or a coaster in the rear would be the way to go.
