Yep. got my new C&V trainer:
guy wanted $25 and I had $21 and the deal was struck. it was just too cool to pass up.

inside now and I did a mile or two.. after some adjustments!
he had an even older one... looked total steam punk with an electric motor that I was not sure what was for- if anyone is interested in ancient stationary bikes.
this one seems pretty nicely built- in spain no less: some history-

Looks like it works out the back and arms too, with the back and forth motion? That "harvest gold with a touch of autumn brown" color signified serious workout machine, back in the day.

Looks a little cramped, what's the effective top tube length on that thing?

I have an old thing that I use sometimes. It's fine - except the crank arms are only 135mm. So it's good just to burn calories in the winter, but I'm not sure it really helps my road cycling.

the crank arms on this are also short but look like they might be standard square spindles, and the seat post and bars can be swapped out... though turned at at extension the bars aren't bad.
sadly the speedometer does not work. O wait... it is a stationary bike. 0 mph is actually right. my mistake.

one is an egg timer that goes to 30minutes, the one on the body pushes a resister foot against the crank flywheel - its pretty difficult to get it set correctly.
