Campagnolo Victory impossible Challenge!

After months of fruitless searching eb@y I finally score a pair of Campy factory long cages for my Victory rear mech. After inspection it turns out that that the long cage conversion is not a simple bolt on.
The attached diagram shows the difference between short & long cage versions ( In Red). The pivot bolt that holds the cage also holds the top pull wheel on the long version, very different parts then the regular cage version. Trying to find a fix.
Any ideas or suggestions on how to make this work?

Your friendly local machinist should be able to fix you up....sometimes they'll take on these types of challenges. For another hobby had a really cool young guy who was just taking over an established shop and he welcomed the chance to take a break from the daily grind that was paying the rent.

What are the chances that parts from a Chorus rear could work? #15 & # 27?

He'd need someone with the exact dimensions. So is there anyone on the forum with a long cage version willing to take it apart and measure the pivot bolt and bushing? Not to mention he's need to find a longer pulley bolt.

@cyclotoine: Agreed, though a competent machinist with the original derailleur, the new cage and the picture of how it can go together could probably figure it out soon enough! ps. when did you move to the Yukon? (or was I just not paying attention?)
