Can't find my most recent thread?

I wanted to post up the last pics from my WA to AZ road-trip and update about meeting up with Will 'n Doug while in Phoenix, but that thread seems to have completely disappeared. It doesn't even show up in my own Recently Started Threads nor can I find it using the Search function (well, that there is not a huge surprise). Any ideas?

I don't really relish spending several hours going back through 10-20 pages - especially if for whatever reason it may have been deleted. Has anyone else had this issue lately?

DD

Thanks - never thought to use Google search for my thread on BF. In my defense, I couldn't recall the exact title I'd used for my thread

I still find it weird that it doesn't show up in my own profile under Recently Started Threads. That just makes zero sense to me. Go figure.

Again. Or still. I've found that I can find my posts only if I look for them on the same day I posted them. After that, they disappear, and I can only find my posts from October 2015 and earlier. Everything between last October and yesterday is invisible.

I am having the same problem. The function is absolutely broken. When I hit recent threads on my profile page, I am thinking that all the threads I have created should show up.. just like every other forum. Only, nothing is. Really odd and inconvenient. I have sent an email to the administrator about it.

Yes, that's the issue I am also having - in addition to the problem @JohnDThompson shared, too. Definitely odd and inconvenient. Guess I'll have to start saving my recently started threads to My Favorites on Firefox to get around this problem in the interim.

I started a thread on this same subject.
https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...d-deleted.html

When I go to my profile to check for post history,
there's nothing there newer than November.
The board search turns up nothing,
but as posted above, when I do a Google search they turn up.

I'm sure I had a conversation in PM with @bertinjim. No sign of it anywhere

I have a similar issue, but if I go to "settings" and then "subscribed threads" I can find most things that have been posted on in the past few days. Older stuff is a mess and I just try googling that and hope that I remember the name (or get close enough).

Hey Milo, did that crank work out for you?

Don't mean to derail the tread.

MiloFrance-

We did have an exchange of PMs on Bertin serial numbers just before Christmas. I'll copy and resend if you would like.

Never, ever rely on BF search function to find anything on BF; it's pointless. It's the anti-search engine. Look in your browser history first. Look in your sock drawer. Look in your sugar bowl. Look in your saddlebag.

Or try google or some other search engine. Anything but BF search. It will actively steer you away from whatever it is you're looking for.

And kick your dog.
