I find too many goodies at the Twin Cities swap.
It isn't always just the items on the table, it can also be the unknown item the seller has sitting at home that might be available.
Amazing what a person might find after a nice conversation.

Not sure if I'm going or not this year. Not really in need of much in terms of individual items.
Mainly looking for a higher end project and wasn't terribly impressed with what was there in terms of frames/complete bikes, save a couple, so I don't know if the trip will be worth the time.

I could always text you if something pops up.

50th Anniversary Bauer Bicycle from Germany | eBay Available from seller in Mpls. Pretty nice, this I consider vintage; really there should be a cut off date on vintage. I won't say what but quite a ways back like that Heroica does or even older. I'm going to post this in the CL thread because since I won't probably be getting it, maybe someone has a place for this cool bike. The guy has posted the bike in the wrong places, first time in an unrelated to bike area, this time in bikes but not in vintage bikes so some people may be missing it.
Last year, I went to part one of this Phat tire contest at the end of Lyndale: Events ? MPLS Bike Love Part II is this Saturday the 30th at the "River bottoms" right next to the Minnesota river, that mountain bike trail, nice.

Lots of goodies there, but I managed to get out of there without buying anything.
There was a very nice black Paramount that I really thought about for a couple of minutes and a few framesets.
There was a guy waiting patiently for me to leave the bike. I noticed him walking out the door later with the bike.
So, I am ahead for the day after selling both of the bikes I brought in 45 minutes in the bike corral.

Picked up an early 2k Campy Record crank, Nitto porteur style bars, and a carbon seat post from Salubrious. A nice but pretty used Bianchi SLX in 56 was sitting there looking like a project, but fortunately just a touch too small. Was in and out pretty quick, and kept the damage light.

This was the first one of these I've attended (been to many guitar swaps), and I thought it was pretty interesting. If you know exactly what you need and have the time, you could get some pretty sweet deals. Or if you bring a wad of cash, you could end up with a really nice bike. The only item that caught my eye was an old Gazelle frame for a decent price. But it was exactly the same size as my Gazelle, so I passed. I was able to find a useable Brooks B-17 for $10, though. I thought about getting this beauty for my wife (mostly as a joke) and kinda regret not looking at it more closely. Fun event!

I got lots of complements on my Guerciotti ('87, C Record groupo, L'Eroica-ready, unless you are talking about the California one), but no takers.

I really wanted to go, I had to take care of the daughter and other business. I'm not in real need at the moment of anything.

I was told there was an old Cecil Behringer track bike there with a Pino Moroni titanium stem. Nice.

I missed out on picking up one of his track bikes a few years back. Seller and I agreed on a date and time as he had a busy schedule and he sold it out from under me. Was pretty disappointed as it was my size.
