Oddjob2's Winter Vacation Scores from the "Are you looking for one of these!?" Thread

The Paramount 50th and the Raleigh were posted in the captioned thread and I was able to close the deal on both. Thanks to the BF members for highlighting these deals. The Paramount was facilitated by my friend in WPB in October 2015 and she was so kind and generous, she had a missing FD installed, along with new cables, bar tape and cleaning. The Raleigh International was a deal I was able to close via txt messaging and sending the seller a USPS money order. He is moving back to Chile after about 17 years in Florida. I had to drive 90 miles to pick it up near the Miami Zoo, ugh. Paint's rough, chrome is okay, but the full Campagnolo kit is still in place.

There's also a 1985 Schwinn Prelude (photos tomorrow) craigslist bike I picked up near Wellington in August and I will leave down here as my rider. I am in the process of overhauling it.

Both very cool bikes, in very different ways. Diversify!

I gotta hand it to you OJ, you are one of the busiest bicycle acquirers I know. Always digging up tasty stuff; and making me appear relatively sane (by volume) in comparison.

Very nice scores. My Craigs is fairly inactive, with something worth a look at once every couple of months.

What's the old gag?

If everyone else were jumping off a building would you do it too?

Well actually, Mom, my friends are pretty intelligent. If they were jumping off the building, they'd probably have a good reason, like it was on FIRE! So yeah, I might jump too.

Well, we can't all just drive down to Florida to pick our next beater Raleigh

Seems I often do find myself driving five or ten miles to pick up an old MTB that turns into a $50-75 flip. My favorite ads are the ones that say "Old bike $10" No picture, no nothing.

I was sorely tempted by that Paramount when it popped up, the Chorus group on it is super nice. Great scores.

Man, I hope you didn't take my previous comments about the Raleigh the wrong way. Still a hell of a deal, even with the imperfections.

Still on vacation, enjoying riding the Paramount. I sold a Trek 330 Elance 330 F/F this morning via ebay.

So another vacation score for pickup later this month in NJ. Too big for me, but a great flip, Reynolds 501, looks like a 1983 Trek 600, as it is Suntour Blueline.

Thanks! I believe it is a 60cm. Treks are not exactly hiding, as this was available on ebay and just happened to be a convenient pickup.
The Paramount and International will be boxed for shipment home.

NmanSold a Cannondale SR400 locally, yea! Received the bikes above, plus a Bianchi frame on a swap for an Ironman with RT and a Peugeot from Thrifty Bill. Picke the 1983 Trek 600 up tonight, super conditiona nd very clean.

What was the designer of this saddle thinking.
