Scapin finished - pics
 

The Scapin project is done. This has been the most ambitious project I have ever done, at least for the quality of bike and the challenges in putting it together. The final touch was the decals, courtesy of Drillium Dude (many thanks) that put the real finishing touch on the bike. A couple of things I did not try, specifically relacing the wheels from the radial spokes to 3 cross in order to save the sheriff star hubs. I decided to replace the Delta brakes with Centaurs. I have not yet sold the Deltas, but definitely will do so in order to recoup some of the cost of the bike. In the process, I found the original lbs that sold the bike, and had a great time hearing about the bike and the shop's prior racing history.
