Shift & brake cable clearance at REI

5mm x 25" brake cable for $13 and 4mm x 25" shift cable for $18. Plus another 30% off for being a clearance item. I picked up 50" of each for $43 including tax.

Looks like a pretty solid deal.

For accuracy- these are 25' cables.

Yeah, seemed kind of steep for 25 inches of housing!

Yeah, 25 inches wouldn't be much of a deal.

Good stuff. I believe it is made by Jagwire.

I second the Jagwire claim. I've used the REI rolls before and was very happy with them.

They also have gel bar tape on clearance right now. I picked up three rolls today for under $7 each. It feels pretty nice (in the roll...I haven't used it yet).

All well and fine if you need/want BLACK housing! No other color options as far as I could see...

I bought the local shop out of cables and took some of their housing too, it is all marked "Engineered by Jagwire".

If you get some of the shift housing with the older packaging, it is also marked "For Smooth Stopping"
