Please Help! I need a Trek Front Derailleur Hanger (OCLV Hanger)

Hey,

Wondering if anyone has one of these on hand? #253438 front derailleur hanger TREK OCLV Compact - SOS Hanger I'll be needing one and these guys don't have any at the moment. I'm assuming that an OCLV hanger should still fit the 1200 as it looks the same.

They also list it as a 'compact' but I don't see any reason that it couldn't be used with a standard double?

Thanks!

Saw that. Will it align the derailleur correctly or do I need one specific to my bike?

Bringing this back up. My clamp on attempts aren't working at the moment and figured I'd start trying to track one of these down. That Ebay hanger will not work as the bolts need to be behind where the derailleur mounts. The Trek ones all appear to have a pointed tail as well (not that that matters but should help in identification).

Seriously, this is what's keeping me from finishing this build. Please, if anyone has one I'd appreciate the opportunity to buy it off you.

Thanks.

I owned Trek dealerships from 1996 - 2005 I do not know what year your 1200 is, but the ones that I sold had round sea tubes and took a 34.9 band style adapter, because Shimano did not have enough demand at the time to have a 34.9 band type front derailleur. A picture would help clarify.

close enough? Giant WG39 A6066-T6 Front Mech Hanger | JE James Cycles

Possibly, but they won't ship out of the EU. I also believe the holes on the Giant ones are spaced too far apart.

Hrmmm... this one? If it's steel could you fill the holes with a weld and then re-drill? Front Derailleur Braze on Support Parts for Building Bicycle Frames | eBay ... why... why so many different types bike gods. I only looked for a second and I'm annoyed, haha.

Unfortunately the holes still look too wide on that.

This is looking pretty bleak. Nova cycles has a blank that I could drill to fit, but I'm not sure I trust my drilling skills enough to get it mounted straight...

There is always custom machining. You don't happen to have a buddy that's a machinist do you?

I've tried two clamp on adapters and cannot get the derailleur low enough.

Unfortunately I know no machinists...

Just tried my Trek dealer and the local collective with no luck.

Surely someone out there had a wrecked frame or something that still has one of these on it?

Edit: Found some in Minnesota searching for bontrager.
