Drop out adjuster screw knobs?
 

Anyone have a line on these? The screws and springs are easy enough to come by, but not even McMaster-Carr seems to have the knobs. Not looking for complete sets, just the knobs,

I just looked for these, I ended up buying a set, but I am searching for something besides the 3mm hex Nyloc nuts I used in the interim. I am considering taking mine in to a fastener house here, and chasing some down. Other than some sluething, or possibly having some machined ($$$$), I am not sure of where they will come from.

The little oval, plastic nuts are another item I could not find, even in specialist fastener and specialty furniture or machinery catalogues. Following yout thread out if extreme interest on my part, best of luck, Top.

Actually pretty nice looking there, those would be easier to grip and turn than some I have seen. the Campagnolo nutted ends are just straight lines and can slip in my shaky hands and fingers.

Still searching, but I ordered 6 sets from Framebuilders Supply. $2.59 was cheap enough.

This is another pet peeve in the same category as poorly finished seat clusters that should never overly score a seatpost. Dropout screws are fragile at best, the knobs should be secured and then screwed all the way in for shipping or storage to preserve them and not stress the dropout. Dave Moulton sells sets that are a little pricey, but it can't hurt to help him out.

I can relate. I'm down to zero knobs, and probably 4 sets of the bolts and springs.
I think most of them rolled under the car and the cat ate them. Serves him right.
