I just picked up a De Rosa Primato on flea bay and now my steel collection is complete. http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=525515http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=525517http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=525518http://bikeforums.net/attachment.php...hmentid=525524

Of course, I would love to add a Merckx Team 7-11 or Stuttgart, a Gios Team Brooklyn, and a Celeste Bianchi. Someday. 😆

Ummm. what's your address? :)

Superb collection. Great taste.

That Primato is outrageously nice. Love the color.

Classtime 06-05-16 04:19 PM

That is funny.

Reynolds 06-05-16 04:27 PM

Really nice collection! Of course you could add a Merckx/Bianchi/Pinarello/Gios/etc....

noglider 06-05-16 05:00 PM

No Cinelli? ;)

You have a funny definition of "complete."
Great Collection!

Nice lineup.

Thank you for posting -- very classy collection, and everything appears to be in great condition.

Steve Whitlatch 06-05-16 07:47 PM

My steel collection is complete for now :p

Ride-Fly 06-05-16 10:43 PM

Ok guys, you got me. Complete pro tem!! I have 3 carbons that I'm thinking of selling in order to collect the bikes mentioned. I think I'm slowly converting to an "all metal" bike guy!!!

Never had the hots for Cinelli- don't really understand what makes certain frames list worthy to me. Maybe if I was exposed to it when I started out cycling. I remember seeing the De Rosas, Colnagos, Guerciottis, Pinarellos, Ciöcces, Masis. I owned a Gios Professional, and a Gitane TdF Team replica.

Chombi1 06-05-16 11:29 PM

Not complete..... no Huffy Aerowind......

Uh-huh? So was mine, until something interesting shows up. Nice group of bicycles you have in your collection. Might I add if there is a favorite rider in the pack?

Nice "Herd".... However, the best spaghetti I ever had in Europe was in Paris! :)

Some Gallic rides would be nice too....

No UO-8 either. A collection isn't a collection without one.

qcpmsame 06-06-16 05:35 AM

You just thought you had a complete collection....

daf1009 06-06-16 05:38 AM

Yeah...I have thought on NUMEROUS occasions that my collection was complete...oh how wrong we can be!

ridelikeaturtle 06-06-16 05:40 AM

I'll second that question, "is there a favorite?" And how do you pick which one on the day to take out?

Ride-Fly 06-06-16 09:12 AM

My favorite overall is my Mondonico EL OS. Sublime, superb ride. Very comfy, neutral handling, light enough, and with the classic steel "just the right amount of springiness" feel.

For hammerfests, which I don't do as much as I used to in my younger days, I opt for either my Ext C or Top Carbon.

rando_couche 06-06-16 09:18 AM

As long as you're breathing, your collection is not complete. N+1!

Agreed, just like riding = never too far, just not enough time, never too many bikes, just not enough time, $$$ and space. :roflmao2:

Bikerider007 06-06-16 09:51 AM

It's not complete, until you feel it is completely out of control! :-)
