I live in an upstairs flat in London and work all day, so owning a dog is not a realistic option, but I recently spent a week at my folks in the countryside and their 3 year old lurcher/greyhound/collie cross, Lenny was my shadow all week. Great to have a buddy to watch football with....

I'm back in London now and miss having him around.

It's MY mountain
My greyhound Isaac died in May of liver cancer. He was my third greyhound, the only kind of dog I've owned as an adult. My greyhound adoption group isn't getting any more dogs because of the end of racing in most states, especially Florida where most of them came from. So expanding my search for other breeds, I went with a group that rescues Taiwan street dogs and sends them to USA for adoption. Meet Ursa - she will be coming to us next week.
This is her cat-safe test:
(rescue name is Efan).

S’nick the toy poodle was adopted after my good friend suffered a stroke.
Love her to pieces ! Actually works well after rescuing a kitten just weeks ago. They fight like sisters!

Here are my two. Both shepherd mix. Victor is 10 years old and is a shepherd/lab mix. Sascha is 9 years old and I'm not sure what she's mixed with. The organization I got her from didn't know. Could be shepherd/rottweiler or maybe shepherd/doberman. This photo is them at their favorite park. It is about the only place I can get Sascha to run.
Working our way upriver in the rain. Victor prefers to swim, Sascha prefers to wade, I take the trail along the river bank.

The Dog Thread
I know we have a cat thread going. I'm not a cat person, more of a dog type. Here's Rosie, the Korean Jindo. We got her quite by happenstance a month ago, as a neighbour's friend died unexpectedly and left her without a home. She's a bit older, and a bit arthritic, just like me. So let's see some of your canine friends.
