Wow, that's a real barn find. I am amazed the pedals, chainset and saddle have not gone missing. Did someone paint everything black to stop the rust or is that some sort of anti-corrosion coating? Cool bike.

At this time I am assuming the bike is entirely nickel-plated. Obviously at sometime someone rattle-canned it. Everything. Frame, bars, crank, pedals, seatpost. Which I'm hoping is a good thing by holding off rust. There is some rust but it is minimal. Decals will be long gone, but I think it ill be in better condition than my 1933 Frejus.

Most everything disassembled with relative ease. Even the fixed cup. The headset was an sob because it is one of those 2-pin types. I tried a strap wrench with no joy. A friend had to ship me the proper 2-pin spanner as they are hen's teeth. I think a Campy 2-pin spanner recently sold $1200. With the proper tool, and a weeks soaking in liquid wrench, the lock nut came right off. The rest was easy.

Ok, not "too" many around here.

2017 Black Mountain Cycles- Monstercross
2016 Yeti SB5
2012 Salsa Fargo, but that's being traded in for a Cutthroat next spring.
1999 Chris Kvale sport tourer-
1980 McLean Perfect Pleasure
1994 John Holland sport tourer
2004 Bilenky tourer
1990 Croll-rain bike
199? Serotta CSI built by Dave Kirk
2008 Della Santa. I ended up with my son's, as he picked up a Colnago C59.
Way too many framesets and cabin bikes.

and I just found a handsome MAP 650b. My wife's MAP build turned out so beautifully, I had to get one for myself. Thanks again for the build Chrome Molly. Mitch Pryor has to get back building framesets again. Such special talent.

Then, of course, there is the scenario that we all dread: Enjoying an idyllic ride, thinking of courtesians in fields of flowers.., when Godzilla appears, pent on destroying my beloved bonded frame. Barring these and other, disastrous (some would say unlikely) events, the Moser will stay put.
Remember that three is a sacred number in many traditions. This has gotta count for something.

Gotta see the new MAP, definitely on my wish list. I see that Mitch has recently picked up the torch and is building himself a bike.

Will do!

Let's hope I collect the parts for it faster than my wife's MAP.

We're doing a local brewery tour today before the Minnesota United game tonight.

I'll try to post a few pics of hers, so folks will get an idea of how nice these really are.

Mitch is a whale of a builder. imho

All my single roadies fit in the signature line, so that can't be too many! Right?

They are distinctive. No two the same color, all vintage from a different european country, none have the same saddle.

My newer bikes (all purchased new) are Made in Amerca. (except for the '99 Pinarello)

Couldn't be happier, except with an upgrade or two, or three.

197? Gazelle Grand Tourist (Size 57)
1989 Batavus Randonneur GL (Size 64)
2007 Gazelle Orange Excellent (Size 62)

The first two are project bikes that I am turning into a Porteur and modern(ish) Randonneur.
The latter is my everyday commuter that is slowly starting to show some wear and tear. But with 30,000+ Km on the rear hub I've passed the expected life by quite a bit.
