Suntour pivot rebuild- spring tension?

Suntour pivot rebuild- spring tension?
Hello all,
I have a 1985 Suntour AR GT rear derailleur. I went to regrease the pivot point where the pulley cage attaches to the parallelogram. The spring popped off before I could see which hole it had been in.
There are three holes, for low, medium, and high spring tension. I put it in the middle hole. Is that the correct one to use? Does anyone know?
If that was the wrong hole, what are the symptoms of too much or too little tension?
This is the derailleur in question. The big round plastic cap with a screw in the middle covers the pivot.

"RJ the bike guy" has a decent video on youtube showing how to disassemble this style of SunTour and reassemble it.
I have some qualms with various details... such as where the grease needs to go, and how & why to tighten the little nut on the back of the upper pulley, but I think he got it right in regards to the spring for the pulley cage rotation.

The middle hole is the nominal, factory setting. Perhaps they may have used a different setting if the assembler made an error or if they got a batch of stronger or weaker springs but you'd probably find that the middle hole was used 99.7% of the time.

On the subject of suntour derailleurs, Is there any place that might sell parts and pieces?I have one with a broken spring.

It's like the old Huret Allvits, which had three windup spring tension settings, easily set externally using a pair of pliers. I used to fool around with those as a teenager and never saw much difference in shifting.
