New Axle Cut Short

It's my own fault trying to do these things late at night.
I cut the recent purchase nos Maillard axle for the Grand Prix short, it has enough thread to catch the dropouts but it will bug me no end.
What tpi etc do I need if I get another axle sans cones?
Do wheels manufacturing make one?
Was quite happy with the Campagnolo one I bought.

Ask at your LBS?

Since catching the dropouts is the only real requirement on axle length I think you should let it go. Also think about all the weight you are saving! Clamp it in place and ride!
