Resto-Mod Hercules

3 Attachment(s)
Here is my recently completed Resto-Mod Hercules. It is all chrome and white and red metalflake! I repainted it and found some 1 inch Mylar tape to reproduce the stripes. I lost the AMF markings but that is fine. I found the red and white Fizik seat and an aluminum seatpost to replace a pretty tough looking red and white spring mounted thingy! I turned the bars upside done for that racey look. Tires are Schwalbe Delta Cruisers. The pedals and brake pads are white rubber. That is a NOS Shimano 3 speed twist grip shifter. I machined a bracket to mount the original saddle bag to the new seatpost. The chainguard is original with original paint on it. To fully pimp it out I had to put dual mirrors, a chrome headlight and an anodized red bell on it. Pee-Wee has nothing on me!

That is PIMPED dude. Nice save.

Makes me think if Pee Wee's bike went on a diet.

Nice job. That is pimped out indeed.:D The Shimano 3 speed grip on a Herc with a S/A (presumbably) is a little sacrilegious though, don'tcha think?? ;) It works with the theme though...

I still miss my old Hercules 3 speed, about the same vintage as that but certainly not so slick.

Except for the upside-down handlebars(been there, tried a few times, on different bikes and find the fit uncomfortable), I really like the bicycle. Busy, to say the least, but the business works and looks just great. Well done!

I'd like to see a close-up of the machined saddle bracket, I like the shiny look.
