Ribble tire sale

Ribble has 20% off tires for 5 days. Use code TYRES20. Also WORK20 for tools.
Pair of Veloflex Master skinwalls for $45. Assuming they come in without taxes, 2 of these will not be much more than one Pasela from my LBS. Ribble did have the Continental Classics very cheap but don't seem to have them listed now.

Thanks! Stocked up on a variety of tires (tyres!) including a pair of Conti Gatorskins for <$20 each. Looks like you can only use one code at a time.

I bought a set of the Continental Classics recently and really wanted to like them. But compared to the Vitoria Corsas they replaced I found the ride quite harsh.

Thanks, @Slash5! Nice deal on the Veloflex Master Twinpack. I've been wanting to try them, so this is a good opportunity.

I stocked up as well on Veloflex, went with Corsa this time. Great prices with this Ribble sale!

Been meaning to try out the dark brown walled Continental Grand Prix Classics, but even with the discount Ribble was too much this time. Found them for $24 on radialcycles.com

That's a great price! I got four Grand Prix 4000S II tires at $24 each ten days ago, but the day after I bought them the price had jumped back up to $34 each (still a good deal). So I guess they fluctuate their prices to stimulate demand.

If only I lives in the lower 48, SHipping is $20 for me. but that is still a good price and much cheeper than the Vittoria so probably worth trying.

Has anyone received shipping confirmation yet? I ordered on Sunday but haven't received shipping details yet. Thanks for the heads up on the sale. Much appreciated.

I ordered on the 16th and received shipment earlier this week -- Tuesday, I think.

The Ribble computer system can be a bit flaky. I have an order from March that is still showing as "processing" on the web site, though I received about 10 days after I placed the order. I ordered some components yesterday that are still showing as "pending" and they've sent me two e-mails reminding me that I still have items in my cart (in addition to an order confirmation e-mail that I received before either reminder).

Your order is probably on its way. Their people in the warehouse seem to be much more reliable than the computers.

Thanks, Andy K and Toavil, figured as much, but nice to have some reassurance. Excited to try the vittoria cross xn pro tires and some latex tubes for the first time. I'll let y'all know if it feels like wearing nothing at all.

Missed that sale, but I did order a pair of Vittoria Rally, 700X25, tan wall tubs yesterday, from Ribble. Tempted to get a pair of those 'Skins on order, too. Ribble has become the place that I buy my tires and tubes, the sales and the discounts make it my go to.

Ride quality is the result of tire inflation (PSI) and tire width. Not quality of the tire.

If you bought Continental Classics in the same dimensions as the Vittoria Corsas, and inflated to the same PSI, there would be no difference in ride quality.

There are certainly many more factors to the way a Tyre rides other than PSI. The Corsas and the Conti's were all 25's set to the same PSI. Yet the Corsa's ride was much nicer.

Dang - two Continental Sprinter Gatorskin tubulars for $69.26. Just could not pass that up. Looking forward to these tires on all the chips seal roads around here.

HI, guys: I need some input from you here because this was my first order from Ribble but it seems is taking too long.

I orders 4 gaterskin tires on Sept 6 and the order was shipped on Sept 8 or a little over a week ago. I have read that most people here in the USA receive their order in a few days. I logged into my account and it says there is no tracking available.

So yesterday, I used the Contact US link on their website and made an inquiry. I did not get a response, not even an automatic response.

So today I sent an email to the sales email address that appeared on my shipment email. Again, I have received no response.

Is this typical of Ribble and Should I wait longer for the package?

Thanks,

The longest I have waited is 10 calendar days. I made my last order on a Monday, it shipped on Thursday, arrived on Saturday, but I picked it up from the post office on Monday because they wouldn't leave it.

You should call on Monday.
