Cinelli 'Mountain' Cork same length as any Cinelli bartape?
I just bought a bartape that seems to be an off-road version of Cinelli's Cork bartape (didn't catch the 'mountain' lettering). Now question is, are these the same as Cinellis road bartape? As in will length be an issue? I read that it will be more dampening (due to off-road version) but other than that will the bartape suffice?

I can't say for sure. I'm going to wrap some bars with Pelten cork tape later today. I can measure it if that would help. I assume your Cinelli tape has the usual thin strip of paper/plastic protecting the adhesive, so unrolling it for measurement shouldn't be a problem.
Edit: I actually have the Pelten (Ciclolinea) tape and a single roll of Nashbar-branded tape. The Pelten measured 65 inches (per roll), the Nashbar, 63 inches. I have heard that Ciclolinea (from Bologna, IT) is the contractor who makes Cinelli tape, so hopefully that will be similar to Cinelli road tape. |
I just went and faux-tape my bar. Eithet im wrapping too tightly close on every revolution, or the bar is just a bit shorter. Or perhaps the flex isnt quite as much as youd see on "road" tapes but im definitely shy a couple inches..but nothing that cant be worked around. Thanks for your info.
