Front wheel generator project

Any suggestions for a matching rim for my wife's Linus Dutchi 3? And affordable generator hub?

A stock rim from Linus will run me $40 + shipping, but I'm guessing the quality is not as good as an aftermarket one? Thoughts? It's important that they match, or close to it.

Do you have a pic of the rear rim? As far as dyno hubs, my favorite is the Shutter Precision (SP) PV-8. I've run one through several Boston winters now, and it's held up like a champ.

I've been very happy with the IDC Stout wheels, and the price is right:

You can definitely get higher-end generator hubs with slightly less resistance, but for a city bike it should not matter at all.

I'm leaning towards this hub as well. The rim is a triple box section(?). I'll try to take a pic tomorrow but for now

Any thoughts on the Busch and Muller Classic headlamp? Looking for something with a retro look.

I have that hub. It's working great for me!

I love the look of that light but it seems dim. I like the Eyc better. A bit less retro but way brighter. Still retro-ish.

Hard to tell what that rim looks like from that pic though I'm guessing it's like the readily available Sun CR18.

I'm running one on my 1950 Lenton Tourist. Works great and has the look I want:

I think it has the same optics as the B&M Lyt, which I love.

Sturmey Archer X-FDD with a CR18 would be perfect on that bike. +1 on the Eyc.
