Seatpost ID?

I picked up a mostly complete lower-end Somec (everything but the wheels) with a broken frame the other day. I have it all stripped down now, and am starting to clean up the parts. I can't identify the seatpost. All it has in the way of markings is the 26.8mm diameter marking and what looks to be a Columbus dove. Any idea about the manufacturer? A little bit of Googling failed to reveal Columbus as a seatpost manufacturer, though I admit I didn't look very hard. Perhaps they didn't make seatposts for the export market? I'm not a single-bolt seatpost kind of guy and it's led a rough life, so I'll likely just toss it in the Box O' Crap next time it comes around. (Might not even be good enough for that. BOC quality has risen quite a bit recently.)

Yes, it's a Columbus seat post. It looks like a slightly modified version of the head design that they used on the proprietary aerodynamic seat post for their AIR tubeset.

Thanks @T-Mar. Before seeing your response, I went and did a little browsing on eBay Italy. I came across a purported Gipiemme seatpost with a Columbus dove:

Perhaps one contracted out to the other...
