Need help identifying stamping on Apollo frame
1 Attachment(s)
Hi all just need some help with identifying the markings/stamping on the head tube and top of the seat tube on my Apollo. Thanks
|
it's the brand of lug, almost certainly an Asian maker but I have not gotten irrefutable confirmation of just what brand this mark stands for...at one time I thought it was EISHO but that notion was quashed by T-Mar (who I'm sure is correct) so if you ever do find out I'd love to know!

Thanks for the info however I looked at another same model bike and that one didn't have these stamping. Also on closer inspection the other side of the bike has more stamping as per the additional photos.

Seat tube. Manufacturer date?
|
Possibly the degree angle of the seat tube, in the above picture? The others I would defer to the experts here, T-Mar in particular as said above.

Hi T-Mar when you have time could you please shed some light on the stamping. Thanks Greg
|
I concur with the previous posts. The markings are the lug manufacturer's logo and the lug angle.
|
Thanks T-Mar is this common? Thanks Greg

Is that a crack at the top of the downtube? :(
|
I noticed that in the first picture, looks like either a crack in the tube, or at best the paint alone. It seems like a second runner is coming off at an ~ 90º angle to the first place, at the lug. Hope that its just a paint crack....
