I recently acquired a Nishiki International road bike. The serial number is KG36087. Can anyone tell me what year this bike would be? Appreciate your time

T-Mar posted about creating a Nishiki serial number database in this thread:
https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vi...-database.html
Maybe that will help?
Edit: So KG36087 might be 36,087th frame made in 1977 for US market?

Welcome ot the forums. Based on the serial number, it was manufactured in 1977 for the USA market. There's a slight possibility of it being a 1978 model manufactured in late 1977 but I doubt it.
