a Couple more for the stable.
Got these locally.
Raleigh Competition GS.. not sure the year. 79, 80? maybe 1987 Trek 2000. probably ridden a few hundred miles if that. Fun bikes. http://i1163.photobucket.com/albums/...psjdedkv32.jpg http://i1163.photobucket.com/albums/...pskcimnqbj.jpg |
I have seen these bike in person and they are absolutely beautiful. The Trek is as mint as it gets. Full Dura Ace with no blemishes to the paint or components that I could see. Looks like original bar tape and tires. The Raleigh is in very good shape as well. Very cool bikes.
Your collection is amazing my friend. :) |
Nice finds jjhabbs. You have a knack for finding pristine machines. The (Pelten fade?) tape on the Trek is a great match for that frame.

The serial number on the Competition will start with:
W8 (1978) W9 (1979) W0 (1980) or W1 (1981) |
I have always liked the Raleigh Competition. That Trek ain't half bad, either. Nice finds!

I want to see more close ups. :)

Good grabbs, Mr Habbs! :)
