Felt bikes are garbage. My wife rides one. For one you can't replace the derailleur hangers and hence they are built strong and transfer all the energy to the stay right near the RD hanger. Hence I'm not at all surprised to read this.

My riding buddy has a 2013 Felt frame where the aluminum seat tube liner is separating from the carbon frame.

Mine had a replaceable RD hanger, but well, let's just say I kept a couple of hangers on hand...
