I'm tidying up a mid-sixties Superbe and noticed that the ends of the seat-stays aren't perfectly flat. As a result the Raleigh "R" transfers a a bit broken up and coming off. I don't recall seeing these on transfer sheets, or even on restorations I've seen. Does anyone know if these were common on models other than the Superbe? And if there is a source for them now? Many thanks... apologies for the poor photos.

No ideas on the decals, but I do see you carry a supply of lubricant when out on that bike. Well prepared, well done. I've heard that the old IGH bikes may call for frequent lube........ You never know what cards life will deal to you

There are some old Raleigh catalogs out there, dating to the early 50s at least.

I don't know years well on Superbe but those logos remind me of the Viscount in the mid 70s.

Prowler very true, and it's not just IGH bikes. I had to go back and take a look at the photos I posted since at first I thought you were talking about the "lube" in the background on my Mercian in the first photo. Here's a better picture...

Bikerider007 This 1967 version is the best catalogue (image-quality-wise) that I've been able to dig up. Sadly the images are from the front and not of a high enough resolution to compare the tops of the seat stays of the Superbe vs the rest.

Will just have to keep my eyes open for "original" Superbes and see how they look!
