Period Correct Pedals

Hi All

What would a high end British Lightweight racing bike have been sporting in the late 1940s - 1950s by way of pedals?

Thanks

Arb

Well, Raleigh made their own pedals. Which high end marque are you talking about?

Lyotards were popular. And their prices are reasonable.

...just one man's opinion, but if you're gonna ride it as opposed to show it, get something that looks old but is newer in construction and technology.

MKS makes and sells reasonably a number of pedals that resemble in appearance the older Lyotards, but are much better constructed and with superior bearing assemblies.

Yes I like the MKS pedals and have a pair of their touring pedals I may well use. Having said that if I can find a great looking period correct pair even if they need some new bearings It would be a nice finishing touch. Its a shame that the prices for so many are jacked up so high on ebay.
