Rivendell Silver Shifters - 80's Schwinn DT Shifters
 

Has anyone mounted the Rivendell Silver Shifters on one of these contoured 80s shifter bosses? Would I just leave the grey plastic coutoured bit on the stud, then mount the Silver Shifters in place of my broken lever?

I have a broken 7sp shimano indexing lever I'm replacing temporarily as a stop gap before I go full restomod on my Super Sport. I wanted to get a versatile set of friction only shifters I could use in other builds, and these seem to have good reviews.

The grey plastic is part of the Shimano shifter. Take it off. Standard boss should be underneath.
