This one is not Vintage, however I figure it would be enjoyed here. I purchased this one used a few months back and swapped out a few parts. It's a 2012 JP Weigle With stunning lug work.
As purchased -
Added the following components -
Compass stem
Grand Boise wheelset/hubs
Rene Herse cranks
Nitto Rando 135 handlebars
Leather Brooks bar tape
Mafac center pulls

A lovely, perfect to my eyes example.
The color is killer and I like how Weigle isn't afraid to go with strong effect.
What bag will you use on the front?
BTW Excellent choice on the stem and crankset. I don't see them everyday.
I'll have to keep those in mind down the road.

Very nice. The improvements really are that. Keeping this as a reference for a next project, if you don't mind.

Stunning.
I slot a pump in the rear triangle, reminds me to get a bit of Velcro securing the bottom portion.

Very nice! Are you looking to unload the Sugino crank that you removed?

My favorite bike in your collection. So...how about a ride report?

Nice bag for sure.
I have a brand new Acorn rando as well that I picked up on our local CL.
Not as inexpensive as yours, but I'll keep it for a long term project I am cooking up.
FWIW I have a Weigle lined up in Minneapolis. I'm next in line in a few years. I'm hoping he comes down a bit in price, but I doubt it will be a big move. He also has a Goodrich and a Dinucci. He just ordered a Moots from the shop I hang out at on occasion. A Routt 45!
As Northbend mentioned, I'd love to read a ride report, but I'm certain it will be a glowing review.
Again, super cool bike you have there and what a wonderful collection you have assembled.

A perfect fit, suprising since it"s 24.5" ctc (25" ctt), which is normally a tad too large. It feels smaller and rides like I am "in" the bike not on it. It look me a bit to realize you gotta go larger on the more relaxed geo's, at least for me. No long rides yet, will report back.

Awesome machine. Congrats on another exquisite acquisition.
The pin-stiping is great; I like how it integrates the Campagnolo logo, too.
Did the seller (original owner?) explain why he was selling? I can't imagine getting a custom Weigle and then selling so soon baring some major life/health changes.

I guess that's nothing compared to the 7 year wait list.

I'd remove the velcro, it'll only mar the paint over time. I rode thousands of miles with a silca pump in that configuration with roadbikes in the 70's and 80's, never had a pump eject - and that was without a pump peg.
It appears the decaleur doesn't reach down to the bag?

I need a larger bag to use the decaleur. The Acorn has Velcro on bottom and a strap on rear that clamps to the rack, so it works, however a little to small.
Can anyone recommend some classic looking chrome water bottles?

What an incredibly gorgeous build. Every component comes together seamlessly. I have never seen a Grand Bois wheelset before. Very nice!
