What vintage frame is this?
Carried over from the single speed / fixie forum. There is no definite conclusion over there as to what this frame is and it was suggested I ask here. Not sure it is even a single speed. Please see this existing thread. Thank you.

BB shell width (68 vs 70mm) and bore diameter/threading (1.375x24 vs 1.375x26 vs 36x24 vs 35x1) will help narrow down country of origin -- I am anticipating a 1.375" bore with a 68mm shell. Yes, the fork is English.
The indentations in the BB shell must be a hint of some sort for the right person. |
The rear dropout is pretty distinctive, with what appears to be a threaded hole for a fender stay. Someone suggested on the original thread that a derailleur hanger has been hacked off; and it does look that way to me; but the seat stay bridge is not drilled for a brake.
I wonder if it's a home-made frame of some kind. |
