Era correct chiquita banana sticker??
I'm trying to do as close as era correct rustro on an old Sekine I picked up. The bike is from 1972-73, I believe. Can someone provide a pic of an era correct chiquita banana sticker from then? I wonder if a current era one could be modded to look correct? Time is of the essence, L'eroica is quickly appoaching....

Not by the local crowd back then. One would pull the banana from the jersey, remove the sticker and place it on the frame then eat the fruit. All while still rolling along.
So the rim location is all wrong as no one's fingers are that nimble. Andy

You pull the sticker off the "monkey stick", lick/spit it to your rim, stow the monkey stick in the back of your jersey, and ride.... that's how we done it.

A few years early I was in probably 4th grade. I had a classmate whose dad was very high in the Chiquita company. He used to bring to school sheets of stickers and give them to those in his circles.

My grandpa was an orange grower. I was strictly an orange guy: Peel the orange the night before and set the separated sections out to dry overnight so they wouldn't pick up all the lint in your jersey pocket the next day. No stickers on oranges back then!
