Jim Redcay Street Bike Identification

Hi again Everyone!
Just picked up a black Jim Redcay that looks to be all original and was wondering if anyone might be able to tell by the ser# what year it is (T-Mar?). Ser# 334221

There is very little data out there but I'd assume it's was built sometime in the 70's as Jim may only have produced a few hundred with his signature before he went to work for Ross in the 80's.

Any info would be appreciated!

Thank you!

Wow...that's going to be a fun project. Lots of work ahead on this one...

Mine is very similar...I BELIEVE the head badge decal IDs yours as a later model. I think I had mine dated to early 80s...I'll check the spreadsheet when I get home. I'm not sure if there was rhyme or reason to his SN's...again, will post mine later.

Mix of 80ish parts.

MarkusT, yours has the DynaDrive crank with the rare 9/16" adaptors. Neato!

It's a fun bike...similar to the Kellogg, but a touch more of a handler.

Thanks!
So, I'll start the basic restoration stuff, cleaning/lubing, replacing cables, looks like one of the brake hoods is falling apart, new tires/tubes then adjusting. Brake pads must have been replaced not too long ago.
My only real concern is about the rust along the top tube. Any suggestions? Leave it as is and just clean/wax as best as I can? Right it off as Patina?

Sorry, I've got nothing on these. They don't surface very frequently. However, enjoy your new acquisition. You'll be the envy of many BF members.

I'd clean/wax as well as I was able and call it a day...but I' lazy, and cheap.
