Bring Your Daughter to Work Day at Colnago

Or maybe it's Andy Warhol Day?

I'm speechless. Both at the bike and the price:

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

My eye is looking elsewhere in this case. I don't mind the polka dot paint so much, seen it on those track frames but IMO, there is much more appealing art going on in the production Colnago frames than this example.

I don't mind the paint, it is the wheels and tires that seem to be working too hard to impress....it's like putting on that last gold chain when you have 12 on already.

A friend of mine has one of the track versions of this frame, new in the box. It is really nice up close, Colnago still knows how to make an excellent steel frame.

The "art" I can take or leave. The price is delusional. The misogynist title of this thread isn't cool.

It is bait for an idiot with lots of money and no taste.
Occasionally, these type of sellers get lucky.

Wow. Cycling's equivalence to a guy wearing an Italian love horn, gold bracelet, diamond rings on both hands, and too much Paco Rabane.

Yes "Look Ma no brakes!" but wait there are brakes.

I agree with you Ben, it is the wheels that really turn me off. If you want to be a little different, maybe some blue or red anodized Open Pros

It'd probably be more fun to ride if it had pedals.

I didn't get a misogynist vibe from the thread title. I understood it to mean that little girls like polka dots and pink and white squiggles; as if the bike was presented to a little girl and she was bidden, "Here, decorate this for me."

Hey, I got an idea. Buy the bike and put news wheels on it.

Then sell those wheels on ebay for $100,000 and you've got yourself a $10K collector's edition Colnago.

The frame looks great. The wheel and tires are hideous. The price is crazy stupid.

The one Robin Williams had sold at 25-30k. I can't recall and that may be off some but it was owned by him which helped and no where near that price. Just saw a post here recently and his bike was purchased by a museum and it's there.

My thoughts, too. Sorry to say it, but it seems a lot of people seem to be looking for a reason to be offended these days.

If we'd all be too politically correct we would be deprived of a lot of good jokes.

It wasn't a particularly good joke though.

Anyways, more on-topic: I like the paint, but hate the wheels. I actually think this would look really good with some high-polish box section rims like TB14s.

IMO, you can add the hoods and the panto seat post to that list.

I was expecting pics from a Colnago organised family event or employees party so didn't get the joke either.

$110,000 with 106 people watching, with zero intending to buy it haha. It looks like someone's nightmare.
