I was really thinking about what I think is the true classic period which I think is probably 1900 -1950s which was the true heyday of the bicycle. After this period the great British public increasingly got off their bikes and into cars. I know others may disagree.

There are excellent articles there. You will soon form your own opinions on what you like from the period, then wait for them to appear. |
Some great resources here which I have been working my way through.... The quality of manufacturing is something to behold. If personally wish I could buy many of these parts today, made in same way of same materials rather than the alloy 'vintage' replicas made in Japan or China.
