Yup, I bought that strange saddle from eBay.... Anyone know anything about it??
Almost two years ago, after seeing it languish at eBay for almost about the same amount of time, I finally broke down and bought this unusual saddle from the site.

It kept popping up when I was doing searches for other saddle, so I figure it must be meant for my C&V stash.
Anyway, the also unusual appearance of the saddle (looks like some sort of stealth aircraft from some angles) really caught my eye.
Really unusual as iot is covered in heavy cordura type material supported underneath with what looks to be strategically placed seatbelt type straps. what makes it even more interesting is the under the saddle is pulled forward to tighten the caorduara skin and straps and provide stiffness to the top of the saddle, just like the typical leather saddle has it.
Te only marking on it are the letters "PHO", moulded on to the rear panel/cantle.'Been looking for information on it since I got it and could not find any. Does anyone recognize this thing and have any info on it. BTW, IIRC, I bought it from a seller in Europe, so I figure that it might have been sold only there and not in the US.

Sorry i can't shed light on your saddle, but let me offer these photos.
1. The covering on the fat padded Oasis looks like an inexpensive rubber/plastic covering, but instead has a woven feel, almost as if it were a 'breathable' material, and a bit of slickness to allow ease of movement on the covering.
2. The SaddleCo product has a woven mesh material designed to be cooler than any other saddle. It was a prototype shown at InterOp long ago.
Yours may be a proto or new fabric trial.
Only your buttocks can judge if it is an experiment gone bad.

The material kinda reminds me of a mid 90s SDG Kevlar saddle I have that has TI rails. If it was cheap and it is. You scored.

Definitely not home made. The parts on the saddle like the molded cantle plate (which holds the back potion of the fabric cover and where the rails are inserted) where the PHO brand is molded on and the internal plastic tension adjustment nose look to be injection molded pieces and the internal glue job to bond the cover to the straps under the saddle was done really cleanly, maybe by machne. The stitching at the seams just look too perfect too. So certainly out of a factory. Or at least a late prototype before production that maybe never went through.
Only flaw on the saddle is where it seems like the glue holding the fabric material to plastic side hoops under the saddle let go in a few spots already, thats why it's a bit wrinkled in that area.... I think I can fix that......
BTW, it only cost me something like 35 bucks delivered, IIRC....
Maybe it's the strange brand name of the saddle that did it in.... other than the Vietnamese dish, I can't ever figure out what the letters stand for...

Well I'm waaaay too late for any good noodle jokes, which was my first thought (and it looks like just about everybody else's). Odd-looking beast, ain't it. As @Lascauxcaveman said above, I'm mostly curious how it feels after 20 or so (2 or so?) miles.

Nope, looks like it was the only one for sale..... If there were any more in existence and/or for sale, I think Google (I check around pretty much everywhere in the net everytime I take it out of my stash, when doing my inventories and storing newly aquired stuff) would have revealed it to me these last two years I've owned it already......
I have not tried tried it out yet because of the slight glue repair I think I need to do first at the owe side potion of the cover....have to figure out which glue is best to use....
