Modolo lever disassembly

1 Attachment(s)
Hi folks,

Have a Modolo traditional lever I want to replace the lever portion on. I have the part. Anyone know how to go about disassembling these?

Just tap out that pin that the lever pivots on using a hammer and punch. It should come out without too much force. Tap back in when replacing with new lever.

Place the body against something so pin is over a hole, so the pin has someplace to go, when you push it out..

Ok. Thanks, folks. Thought it was more complicated than that.

You might want to look that over and make sure there isn't a small set screw holding that in place.

Gunsmiths use something called a Bench Block for jobs like this. Gives the pin a place to go whan tapping it out but keeps it from rolling away

Just before you do wail on that pin, look inside the body to see if the clamp screw passes thru that pin. On several assemblies the pivot pin is a loose fit thru the body and the lever and is held captive by the clamp screw. Remove that screw and the rest comes apart easily. I've not worked on Modolos though so this may all be bunk but look at the diagrams near the bottom of this URL

Thanks - don't think that's the case, but I'll check.
