Show us your bikes with indexed downtube shifters
Since the retro-roadie thread didn't want us, I'm starting a new thread. Let's see those indexed bikes with downtube shifters. They can be original equipment with early indexed shifters or stealth modernizations with 10-speed indexing. I'm kind of partial to the latter, but the former are welcome.
I'll start it off with my 1979 Austro Daimler Team, which I think has at least one component from 105SC (the brake levers) through Ultegra 6700 (the cassette). The shifters are DA 7900.
It looks pretty retro from 10 feet, but it's full of modern conveniences like the ability to stop (aka dual pivot caliper brakes) and shifting help for the dexterity impaired (such as myself).

Asking for pics of vintage bikes with down tube shifters is like shooting fish in a barrel. Just sayin.

Really, I wanted to see modernized bikes that kept the DT shifters, but I didn't see any reason to exclude the older variety if someone wanted to show them off.

What shifters do you have on there and how do you like them?
I've got a bike with "old" 9-speed Racing T derailleurs. I've got it set up with 9-speed Centaur shifters right now and a Shimano cassette (in theory the old+new Campy mismatch will work with Shimano cassettes) but it's been giving me trouble so far. If rebuilding the shifter doesn't fix it, I was thinking of switching to downtube shifters but I really didn't want to go full Shimano.

Here's my 1984 Raleigh Corsa (Reynolds 501 throughout - rides very well), built in the Lightweight Unit at Nottingham. 1984 is the first year for the Corsa and the only year for the Oyster (white pearl) paint.
I bought this bicycle new*, and shortly after my LBS I fitted the Shimano 600EX group. Corsa is totally original apart from NoS Weinmann rims (as original) and new chainrings and a few consumables, jockey wheels, brake blocks (but all original Shimano).
Cinelli bar and stem, red suede (very faded) Rolls saddle.
John.
*bought to replace my stolen Roberts which I had returned by the police several years after the theft.
*pedals being serviced when picture taken, never had a 600 seatpin-still looking for a non-aero(lighter)version.

New to me. Details suggest 1982. I'd be surprised if it had indexing originally. The 130mm rear dictated a cassette hub so I'm going with 8-speed Shimano. Levers are Sora; they don't do friction. Haven't had much chance to ride it yet. I may not keep it indexing. We'll see.

Kind of waiting on this thread, thanks, OP. I picked up on the purity issues on the retro roadie thread a while back. One is in the works and this one is still rockin' it, 2x10 DA, albeit now with a short cage RD and DA 10-sp cassette. I'm also working on a Klein in the same vein, touring setup.

1991 Pinarello Montello 2x8 7400 DA all original except consumables. Actually, I am concerned that I post this too many times. Must be boring for those of you who keep running into it in posts. "Oh no, SJX426 posted that thing again!" The thing is, I like it!

Deore LX 7s. Shifters mounted on Kelly Take-Offs.
This one is interesting: SL 400 levers, SunTour V Luxe RD, Sunrace 7s freewheel. Works like a charm!
