Prima, anyone heard of them?
 

Picked this up last night, its a lower level frame with a 26.2 seat post. Campagnolo dropouts, Campy shifters, cranks, headset, bottom bracket, Tipo hubs with Fiamme yellow label rims. I want to put Valentino derailleurs back on it, yeah I know. Looks like steel 3T bars. I need to change out the stem and seat post also. Anyone have any idea what the saddle is? Its pretty rigid with a Brooks type tightening system. Only markings are made in Italy on the bottom. This thing screamed at me on the craigslist add, so I had to pick it up. And I know everyone likes pics.

Looks to be in pretty decent shape, save the bottom bracket shell area. Is that rusted? Or is it just some grime and dirt collected? Otherwise it appears to be well preserved. Those steel Campagnolo Gran Sport crankiest are nice looking items to me, that one is near pristine Sloar, nice score that.

Thats all grime, no rust at all. I haven't got a chance to clean it yet.

Excellent, that is one well preserved time capsule there, should make an great daily rider with that set up. I am going to guess that is an entry level, but better quality bike, possibly bike boom material. I would not hesitate to buy that one as a daily use/sport ride about bike. YMMV.

Enjoyed following the earlier thread and now with this one we have much better imagery to work with. ;)

Fitment of the Lyotard 460D pedals is something one does not often see on an Italian machine. Wonder if perhaps the cycle's owner was unable to fit their feet between the spurs of the Sheffield quill pedals it may have come with. Some of the Sheffield quill patterns are quite narrow. One check which could be made is the thread. If they are metric that would confirm non-originalness.

The right pedal looks as if it may be bent. You might wish to check it. Cannot tell for sure if it is at the spindle or at the body. Looks more like spindle. Its reflectors are Cibie.

Odd to see the SR Custom handlebar stem paired with a 3TTT bar. This is a poor fit as the stem has a clamp size of 25.4mm and the bar a centre dimension of 26.0mm. Note how the stem's binder ears appear to be prised apart. Potential safety issue.

Regarding the Prima marque, checked a couple of extensive marque lists where it turns out not to appear. This may tend to support the idea that it is marque created by/for a distributor, importer or retailer. Online searches do not work well as all of the hits are small p ones rather than large P ones. :(

Thanks, yeah this bike needs a little TLC, any idea of the saddle? I haven't been able to narrow it down. Looks like a Unicanitor except for the rails, maybe a 3T?

It might help readers if you could demount it and make images of the underside.

Perhaps we shall hear from Rudi. ;)

If it is envisioned to be a rider would suggest replacement of shift levers as that set is particularly awful.
