Free tires

Got some last night and it looks like they're still available. Jenson has panaracer gravel king sk 700 tires listed as $0.00. It seems to be the brown sidewall tires only. Thought I'd pass along the good news!

I just ordered some too. However my email confirmation contains the following disclaimer: "Please note that this order acknowledgement is not an acceptance and does not create a contract; we reserve the right to inspect all orders for accuracy prior to fulfillment. Jenson USA reserves to the right to cancel your order if a pricing error has been made."

I recall a Park repair stand on [rhymes with hamazon] that was priced at $9, or something like that. I was among the few who placed an order to see what would happen. As expected, the order was canceled and the company offered something like 10% off of a tire/tube combination as recompense. I don't think anyone had hard feelings about it -- an obvious algorithmic price error that could have been a big blow to a small company was canceled.

We all held our breath because we had tracking numbers and ship dates (thinking that hamazon would pick up the tab and compensate the seller/vendor), but the delivery was just a letter detailing the above.

Harbor Freight has "Free" sales quite frequently. They just hope people will buy something else in their store (plus the free flashlight). It doesn't really specify if you can get all 6 items, but they do seem to complain if you get one of each.

HarborFreight.jpg

(Sorry, sale ended a few days ago, but it will come back).

I'm doubting the tires above are the same, but it would be more likely the company will honor the prices if you buy $100+ worth of supplies.

It looks like all the free tires are on back order: "usually ships in 1-2 weeks". The ones in stock are $45-49.

Got mine. Some assembly required. Two wire beads, some rubber strips, thread, sidewall decals and cement. Seems legit.

So I go to the site to see what all the excitement is about and end up spending $150!!

I did grab a pair of the Schwalbe 1 racing clinchers for $15 each. I've heard decent things and I definitely like the price.

I was going to try for them, but I asked myself, "what am I going to do with a pair of gravel tires, if I got them?"

So when you said you "Got some last night" does that mean you ordered them, you received them, or that you woke up this morning with a smile?

Have never ordered from them before but tried to order 4 of these.

Shipping was $6 some thing but they tacked on a $28 oversize charge making shipping $34!

No thank you!

Just order another item to make your total over $50. I just received a single Pasela tire plus a few other items to get the free shipping. The box was big enough that they could have several road tires or 3-4 mountain bike tires. Nashbar would have folded the tire to fit a much smaller box.

Friendly reminder: BikeTiresDirect offers super-easy price matching and their shipping is usually flat rate $5. I can't tell you how many wicked deals I've gotten for $7-$12/tire this year alone, walking away with up to 3 pairs of tires for under $60 shipped via BTD just because, for example, Niagara's shipping was 2x more.

Caveats: The seller MUST be a licensed dealer, so you can't pricematch to eBay sellers for example, and of course BTD needs to carry that same model of tire

Unfortunately they don't have this specific tire

I missed that option which makes it a much better deal. FYI I did order 9 tires recently from Niagara and shipping was $10. Still a great deal as I got tires I couldn't get locally and they were priced right.
