picked up an old raliegh for 75.00

not sure what it is because it was repainted. it has campy derailleurs, sugino crank, 600 brakes and hubs, suntour barcons and a 600 headset. i'll take better pics later.

sorry thats my computer taking the pic, almost useless. i think its an 83 and its got pretty tight clearances for tires and fenders. cant find a serial # but i did see 1T on the bottom bracket, i think!?!?!

will have more pics soon but it has a serial # on the left rear dropout 364908. is it possible i have a grand sport? the frame is very light with no bottle brazeons and is not a 70s grand prix. it has a hanger in the rear for a center pull brake. i will post pics eventually.

A GS would have more tire clearance I think. Are those 27" or 700c?

pics of some of the bike. many components have been "upgraded" and of course the repaint hurts as well but i think this may be a cool project.

You did great on this bike for $75. That was a smoking deal. Part it out and sell it.

Well you did good. You have way more than $75 in parts sitting there. You can`t go wrong. Post close up pictures of the seat cluster, BB and drop outs. Any serial number?

$75 is an excellent price for a bike with so many good parts in good shape. The Campy derailleurs ought to be worth a fair portion of the $75 themselves.

Still, I'd recommend riding and enjoying the bike! Any idea of the type of tubing? i.e. some good Reynolds tubing or plain gas pipe "high tensile" tubing?

Steve, also in Peoria

I'd guess it's a repainted Grand Sports as the lugs and frame features match. And they usually didn't have a serial # under the BB unlike other Worksop-built Raleighs.
