Tx700
Thanks to The Golden Boy and 3speedslow, along with a few pieces I had laying around, I was able to put the TX700 together for a whopping $18.03! Not including the purchase price of the frame/fork of course.

And yes, that cable routing announced itself on the initial shakedown ride :)

Sweet. I'd love to track down a TX 700 in my size. Very good taste in terms of parts as well. Shimano 600 is a great choice for this era bike.

That 600 group is what came on my 78 Trek 736. As far as the incestuousness goes- I bought the parts from bikemig (Stronglight and Superbe) that replaced the 600 stuff, then I sent the 600 stuff to Flog00 right after I did a great deal with 3speedslow!!! |
If I can't dial this thing in it will be yours. My perfect size is 55cm and this is 21" C to T.

I'd love to find a TX700 in my size with bad paint. Throw on some canti and bottle braze ons... Superbe brakes, Cyclone derailleurs, DiaCompe 981s... yummy!

I bet a tall stem (nitto) will fix that; that's only a cm difference.
I have everything pretty close to my Tomii as far as reach goes. It feels pretty good. I told Golden Boy this can be his ride when he visits Ohio. |

That is really nice, and my size! If you want to dispose at some point, I'd like to be on the short list, too!
Would you share the S/N? Should be stamped on the bottom of the BB shell, letters and numbers. I have that same Huret front derailleur on my 610. I found it works better if the bottom of the outer cage plate is a lot closer to the arc of the large chainring, like about only 2 or 3 mm above. |

I cheated the derailleur up some to hide some paint damage, :) It shifts good. https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4271/3...91f54008_h.jpg2017-06-04_11-15-27 by flog00, on Flickr |
